Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FindPE collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This is a template document provided for launch readiness and does not constitute legal advice. It should be reviewed and finalized by a qualified attorney or privacy professional before public launch.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — name, email, and profile details you provide.
- Professional credentials — license numbers, states of licensure, and verification documents submitted by PEs.
- Project information — RFQs, bids, messages, and project details.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe and Escrow.com; FindPE does not store full payment card or bank account numbers.
- Usage data — log and device information collected automatically.
- Security data — sign-in events (time, IP address, device/browser summary, and approximate location derived from IP address) used for account security and fraud prevention. Sign-in event records are pruned after 180 days.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate the marketplace and match Clients with PEs.
- To verify credentials and process payments.
- To communicate with you about your account and projects.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.
3. Third-Party Processors
We share information with service providers that operate parts of the Platform on our behalf, including Stripe (payments and tax calculation), Escrow.com (project escrow), Resend (transactional email), and our hosting and object-storage providers. These providers process data only as instructed and under their own privacy terms. Our messaging (Tinode) and video (Jitsi) services are self-hosted on FindPE infrastructure. IP-address geolocation uses the MaxMind GeoLite2 database.
4. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@findpe.com or via the Contact page.
5. Data Retention & Security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Platform and to meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. Sign-in event records are pruned after 180 days; credential and project records are retained while your account is active and as required for legal and professional-record purposes. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Platform. See our Cookie Policy for details.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time and will post the revised version with an updated date. Material changes will be highlighted where practicable.
